Why do counselling with me?
I became a therapist because like so many therapists, I’ve had my own struggles. They’ve included depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, problem behaviors, hating myself and then… finally, understanding and healing. With help.
I know how hard it can be, when you feel deeply alone, sad, ashamed or guilty and you can’t see a way past your past. Clients have talked about being down there in ‘the pit’, not being able to see any light, but then someone throws down some tools and materials, we make a plan to build a ladder, and with support and encouragement, you get yourself out of that pit. I know how to be that helping hand you need. I’ve helped others.
Nobody deserves to keep suffering that way. So much can change for the better.

Our bodies hold our anxiety, trauma and depression. I have nearly 20 years of coaching experience helping clients understand their mind-body connection. Becoming a certified clinical counsellor has given me the added expertise to really help with trauma, and the problems that disguise it, such as depression, anxiety, and addictions. My approach is tailored to your needs. I use the tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I practice and teach mindfulness.
